Taxi Driver opening scene Analysis

From the opening scene we can guess that taxi Driver is about (quite obviously) a taxi driver who works night shifts, from the opening scene his eyes are constantly moving, twitching, scanning his surrounding area which either shows he is observant or even manic.  The view of the set is blurred. This could represent his tiredness or his blurred vision of reality. The view of the character is closed-in, an extreme close up of his eyes.The sound used is sound track which is mellow which frantic sections of music, which could represent the insanity in his mind. The only two shots used are a long shot of the street and a close up of the street.
